Support — Maira
Last updated: 14 September 2026
Maira is a wellness companion for women living with PCOS, not a medical service. It is made by Kuracha Sai Srihith, an independent developer in Hyderabad, India.
Something not working, or just want to ask? Write to srihith.kuracha@gmail.com. One person reads that inbox and replies, usually within a day or two.
If today feels heavy
Maira is an app, and some days are bigger than an app. These are real people:
| iCall (TISS) | +91 91529 87821 — free, confidential counselling, Mon–Sat 10am–8pm |
| Vandrevala Foundation | 1860 2662 345 — free, 24×7 |
| Emergency | 112 |
If food or eating has started to feel frightening, please tell someone you trust, and consider a professional who specialises in it. That is a strength, not a failure.
Common questions
Do I need an account?
Yes. Your history is kept in your private account, so a lost or replaced phone never costs you it. You can sign up with email or with Apple.
Where is my data?
On your phone and in your account, on servers in India. The AI features send what you give them to OpenAI, and only after you say yes. Nothing is sold, ever. The full detail is in the Privacy Policy, and Settings → Privacy & data flow draws it for you inside the app.
How do I delete everything?
Settings → Delete account deletes your account and everything in it, on your phone and on our servers. Settings → Start over erases your data but keeps your account. Both are immediate and permanent.
Why is there no score yet?
Maira only shows a number when she has something real to base it on — sleep or steps from Apple Health, a meal, or a symptom you tapped. No data, no number. She will never invent one to fill the space.
Why did my score go down when I did everything right?
Because you told her the day was heavy. Maira weighs how you say you feel above what your step count says. A number that stayed cheerful on a day you felt awful would be worth nothing.
Sleep isn't showing.
Maira needs permission to read Sleep and Steps from Apple Health. Open the iOS Health app → Sharing → Apps → Maira, and check both are on. Sleep only appears once your phone or watch has recorded a night.
Does it count calories?
No, and it will not. Maira suggests what to add to a plate, never what to remove. Nothing is forbidden.
Can it tell me when my period is coming?
It shows an estimate based on what you have logged, always labelled as an estimate. Maira does not make fertility predictions and should not be used to avoid or achieve pregnancy.
Barcode scan says it can't find my product.
Maira looks products up in Open Food Facts, a public database. If something is missing, you can add it by hand — and the scanner deliberately ignores cooking staples like oil and vinegar, because those are not meals.
Is Maira a doctor?
No. She supports everyday wellbeing and says so plainly. She does not diagnose, prescribe, or replace your doctor. On the days that need a real person, she will say so.
Reporting something that went wrong
If Maira ever says something that feels wrong, unkind, or unsafe, please tell us — that matters more to us than a crash report. Include what you asked and what she said, and we will look at it the same week.
